Mount Etna's volcanic landscape explored during a guided hike

Vincenzo Romeo · Environmental Hiking Guide

Sicily cannot be explained.
It must be experienced.

For more than twenty years, I have guided travellers through volcanoes, nature reserves and Sicilian landscapes, helping them feel part of each place rather than simply passing through it.

About me

Guide, traveller
and curious observer.

My name is Vincenzo, and my journey in alternative tourism began more than twenty years ago. In truth, it started much earlier: curiosity was already leading me towards the many pieces of Sicily’s extraordinary natural and human landscape.

Whenever I guide someone, I try to share what I know without separating it from the bond I feel with this land. Sicily is bright and complex, generous and full of contrasts. Perhaps that is exactly why every trail continues to surprise me.

My work is a daily journey through a continent of light, landscapes and stories.

Walking together

Every encounter
leaves something behind.

On a hike, I am not the only person with a story to tell. Every traveller brings emotions, experiences and a personal way of looking at the world. Along the trail, a natural exchange begins: information, questions and impressions become part of the same experience.

That is why I still see myself as a traveller too. I guide, but I also keep discovering. In Sicily, there is always another surprise around the corner.

My philosophy

Walking is good
for body and mind.

Walking in nature responds to a deep need: it helps us slow down, regain our attention and see the landscape with different eyes. Sicily by Nature grew from this idea, bringing hiking, photography, food and culture together as parts of one story.
